technology is inherently unreliable.

do not trust technology to work. instead, trust that it will fail. at the worst possible time. ever.

e.g. before a report/project is due. your computer crashes. all data you worked on in the last 2 months, gone. especially that breakthrough that was going to get you an A.

why am i writing about this? i just had a little bsod (blue screen of death) scare. yes i use windows. it's convenient and there's way more freeware and warez for it than other oses in the market imo; but that's not the issue here.

so after the bsod, the monitor goes dark. fan's still whirring on the cpu. forced power down. power on. no response on the screen. dammit. first thought, graphics card busted. open up the casing. i do like these new easy access casings. fan on the card still running. try again. hdd doesn't seem like it's whirring. take it out. listen carefully. okay, still clicking. pinch out the ram. start.

let there be light!

never

trust

technology
