it's the mid autumn festival. quite a dreamy one. *cough* *hack* *choke* thanks to our neighbours.

just want to gripe.

it's not the mooncake festival. it's not the lantern festival. it's the mid autumn festival.

if you can say it properly in mandarin, 中秋节 (zhong qiu jie), then say it properly in english!

mooncake festival becomes 月饼节 (yue bing jie), and lantern festival becomes 灯笼节 (deng long jie).
