went through a whole bunch of reports, since the agm is conducted once every two years... after the AGM i came home, in the rain again, it was raining the whole day... (thus destroying all my plans of skating at ecp), and i wasn't in the mood to go to esplanade and squeeze with the ndp preview crowd and slalom with the whole bunch of slalom siaos...
i came home feeling a little under the weather (pun intended), and i ended up napping at 6ish, thus missing the dinner with some nus juniors, ended up snoozing till 9ish and had dinner, nice home cooked dinner. :D
and then i saw jia online and asked her out, so i went to pick her up, and she passed me presents she got for me from US, jia's my mei who has been away in the US for the noc program. so we met up with the dinner people whose aeroplane i flew at suntec starbucks.. we sat around chatting and had fun playing with my new afro wig.. for those who haven't noticed, i'm wearing my wig and new aviators in my profile pic..
left suntec around 1ish, then drove a few people home, and viola, here i am. isaac is bunking over again.. real free and easy for him now, since he's just waiting for school to start again... ah how i miss the carefree days of being back in school..
we were on the topic of rag in soc, and he (isaac) was talking about how rag has come a long way, which really means a lot to me, since the first compclub activity that i participated in was rag. i missed camp due to ns commitments, and i just appeared to help out in rag during my freshman year... and on the morning of rag, we had to move our float to the field, which incidentally, was just a big black box made from styrofoam and cardbox.. there was no vehicle, we had to LIFT the box, and try to move it from behind s17/soc1 to the track.. of course we couldn't.. and stood the prospect of being disqualified before rag even began.. and so i volunteered my then car, and so there it was, a bunch of soc students, walking beside a white car, with a float perched precariously atop the car... driving along kent ride...
you could see the widened eyes and hear the sniggers from the other faculties as we rolled into the track.. but we managed to get the float there!
no costumes, minimal makeup, it was really a disaster, the whole float affair, but it was still a memorable experience, given that as we lifted the float off after our performance (we had a lot more people this time so we could move the float)... then we slam danced into the float, destroying it in 10 minutes.. and P nathan was still in the stands watching the next performance! wahahaha..
how nice, the carefree days of being a student...
