attended the WWS agm today. http://wws.org.sg

went through a whole bunch of reports, since the agm is conducted once every two years... after the AGM i came home, in the rain again, it was raining the whole day... (thus destroying all my plans of skating at ecp), and i wasn't in the mood to go to esplanade and squeeze with the ndp preview crowd and slalom with the whole bunch of slalom siaos...

i came home feeling a little under the weather (pun intended), and i ended up napping at 6ish, thus missing the dinner with some nus juniors, ended up snoozing till 9ish and had dinner, nice home cooked dinner. :D

and then i saw jia online and asked her out, so i went to pick her up, and she passed me presents she got for me from US, jia's my mei who has been away in the US for the noc program. so we met up with the dinner people whose aeroplane i flew at suntec starbucks.. we sat around chatting and had fun playing with my new afro wig.. for those who haven't noticed, i'm wearing my wig and new aviators in my profile pic..

left suntec around 1ish, then drove a few people home, and viola, here i am. isaac is bunking over again.. real free and easy for him now, since he's just waiting for school to start again... ah how i miss the carefree days of being back in school..

we were on the topic of rag in soc, and he (isaac) was talking about how rag has come a long way, which really means a lot to me, since the first compclub activity that i participated in was rag. i missed camp due to ns commitments, and i just appeared to help out in rag during my freshman year... and on the morning of rag, we had to move our float to the field, which incidentally, was just a big black box made from styrofoam and cardbox.. there was no vehicle, we had to LIFT the box, and try to move it from behind s17/soc1 to the track.. of course we couldn't.. and stood the prospect of being disqualified before rag even began.. and so i volunteered my then car, and so there it was, a bunch of soc students, walking beside a white car, with a float perched precariously atop the car... driving along kent ride...

you could see the widened eyes and hear the sniggers from the other faculties as we rolled into the track.. but we managed to get the float there!

no costumes, minimal makeup, it was really a disaster, the whole float affair, but it was still a memorable experience, given that as we lifted the float off after our performance (we had a lot more people this time so we could move the float)... then we slam danced into the float, destroying it in 10 minutes.. and P nathan was still in the stands watching the next performance! wahahaha..

how nice, the carefree days of being a student...

3 days of break from simulator control to attend a conference on runway incursions.. runway safety.. we had speakers from icao, faa, ifatca, and all the worldwide agencies, big names, recognisable people in the aviation industry... it was an enriching experience, and a good chance to catch naps while the speakers droned on.. wahaha
i even got a certificate for attending the conference, and for once, the food during the conference was really quite good and in abundance, as the companies that were advertising their wares during the conference sponsored the tea breaks and lunch.

thursday marked a return to simulator training. things have become even more complex, with towing thrown into ground control, and simultaneous departures on tower control, a lot of planning is involved, and as things start getting overwhelming, i start speaking louder, faster, have sweaty armpits X(~ .. the simulator may be cold, but you can still sweat from the non stop traffic coming through...

friday i attended a final gig by parousia, andy's brothers band. 4 out of 5 members are leaving singapore, so they decided its time to call it a day. emotional ending to the gig, but they are good. their album is out in hmv. they're a christian band btw.

friday was spent with colleagues at devil's. weng and dave wanted to go to china black, but at the sight of the underaged juvenile crowd, it was a big turn off. we ended up at devil's, weng got himself smashed, puked all over the carpet, but still managed to walk out and catch a cab home unassisted. :D

taking a break from skating, i was really bored so i dropped by ecp on saturday after a really good dinner at home. skated a bit, hung out with the people there, then realised it's not the skating, but the company there that i missed. as loner as i'd like to be, i still like hanging out with people, listening to them, talking to them, laughing with them. but then there are times when i just prefer being alone, whether it's out shopping, walking around, skating, or just doing things that a person does alone.

then monday came and the good part of the evening was spent at kbox cine with the etaks bunch, we had a great time singing and shouting and dancing and being altogether silly. it's been awhile since i had such fun.

work's going to get more hectic. i can just see it coming....

Scorpio Horoscope for week of July 14, 2005

When I saw the grandmother of one of my friends dancing exuberantly at a party in a San Francisco warehouse, I was confounded. "Isn't she 80 years old?" I asked my friend, who was one of the DJs. "82, actually," he said nonchalantly. "She's in great shape." But my amazement wasn't based merely on how much energy she had; her agile movements were stunningly sensual. I've rarely seen young dancers display so much erotic abandon. I decided that she's a rare example of a person whose aging process has not made her rigid and cautious, but just the opposite: It has lightened and liberated her. She's a good example for you right now, Scorpio. You should be cultivating the kind of maturity that will loosen your inhibitions and banish your fears.

today as i was parking my car at the carpark in SAA, i noticed a bird on the ground, quite motionless.. it didn't budge when i stopped near it to reverse into my lot.. and when i got out, it didn't hop away, and when i walked near, it didn't budge as well... and i managed to get a photo of it..

i hope it's not injured or dead.. it was a handsome looking bird....

HELL LEVEL 3
Raw score: 95%

There's a special place in Hell for you: the basement penthouse. You
scored the nastiest possible on the Sexual Hell Test. You have no
sexual restraint whatsoever. You'll take pleasure however you can get
it, and my guess is you get it a lot. If for some reason you
don't right now, you will soon, as people in your category only tend to
spiral down ever deeper into the abyss of carnality and delicious sin.
Congratulations.

I, personally, think that this category is the best. Paradoxically,
sexual liberation and indulgence can only bring you closer to purity
and honesty.

AVOID: all but level 3 hellions like yourself. You wouldn't want to ruin anyone, now would you?

long overdue update! but it's been nothing but classes, and home. classes, and home. even skating was scarce.

i did have a nice dinner one day last week with my folks at geylang, and we ordered this

and well, the highlight of the weekend is that i went diving at pulau dayang. since the d0do and cheryl went for their basic, and ticond finally did his advanced (he did basic with me), and i went to do leisure with kint and jagr. fun to go diving with friends, got things to talk about, share tales, have fun in the water, especially more so when you're a leisure diver and don't have a dm leading you.

anyways, the pictures for the trip are available at http://nytemare.lobang.net/Dayang8thJuly

i got pretty burnt on the way back cuz i fell asleep on the sundeck of the boat, only to wake up to feel a little hot, then falling asleep, then getting shaken again when dolphins appeared... very nice. pack/school/group of wild dolphins making their way, swimming happily across the sea... pity i was still half asleep and didn't take my camera out...

and something else during the trip happened.. i got bitten by a fish.. a CLOWNFISH... the little fella is even smaller than my palm, but he got agitated by jagr with his camera, and jagr so nicely asked me to go try out the clownfish, and the little fella bit and pulled on my glove with so much strength, it really surprised me.. but of course it's a clownfish.. not a scary biter, unlike baracudas or titans...
