The plan was Prague, Vienna, Budapest. On Saturday morning, to Prague to hookup with colleagues from Berlin. Then we'd head for Budapest. I though it'd be a ridiculously long drive, so suggested driving to Prague on Friday night.

Eventually we did. And as we crossed the border into the Czech Republic, the GPS in the car ceased to function, complaining that it's not in an activated country.

And so we had to cut short our trip to just Prague. It still was fun, since none in my group has been there before. And we experienced how bad cheating can be first hand. My colleague was queuing up to get his Euros changed to Crowns at a official money changer when some guy offers him 1 Euro to 30 Crowns. He readily accepts. The transaction is over and done with before I even know it, and eventually realises the person gave him Hungarian notes, which are worth in total 1 Euro. He got pwned!

I am about to change at the money changer at 1 Euro to 29 Crowns (published) before at the counter tells me not to, because thats the selling rate, and the buying rate is 1 Euro to 19 Crowns. Lucky me. Eventually got it changed at the hotel, which offerred 1 Euro to 25 Crowns, with a 5% commission.
