round and round we go!
there's really nothing spectacular to do during cny if you've got nowhere to visit.. cuz most of the shops you wanna go to are closed, and clubbing isn't really my cup of tea anymore..
say like yesterday, after a very very sumptous dinner of alaskan king crab and prime rib ribeye steak... friends said pvd tonight, zouk.. so i was like, okie, lets go.. since it's pvd afterall.. for the uninitiated, that's paul van dyk for you... took a walk down orchard to borders, many non gamblers buying books.. and then walked back to the car.. so it was 10ish.. good time to go winebar to wait i guess.. then comes the second sms saying zouk trip was going to be hanging on a thread, a thread of dodo hair.. so alright... let's just go to esplanade to look at the river hongbao.. bad choice.. crowds, smell, food which didn't appeal.. seriously wrong time to be looking at stall after stall selling the same old stuff, i bet if i went to the bedok hongbao next to the interchange, i'd get all of the same stuff, probably even cheaper... so we, me and yue, jostled thru the crowd, got bored, and walked back to the car before they announced that zouk was off, time to go play pool.. geeze, which pool hall would be open.. and we found out.. interworld! but, as luck would have it, they're closing at 1am.. yue had some craving for a popsicle, specifically popsicle, no milk no other stuff, so we went to kallang airport 7-eleven and settled for 2 fruitti popsicles, and she was asking me to see if i could suck the popsicle till no colouring was left, save for ice.. so i kept doing it till she stopped and said my tongue was ... *gasp* bleeding! wahaha.. in the end dodo and kint came down for some supper, the famous hougang wantan mee stall at kallang airport was open.. and we all decided to scrap pool and go home... -_-
today was a little better, but was quite a round island kind of thing.. woke up at 7 to go find yue, and to go the guan yin temple at waterloo... made it there, at 11!, jostled through crowds, again.. then we had quite a bit of time to spare for lunch and before my lo hei at mako subaquatics at ayer rajah, so we ended up driving to changi village to eat nasi lemak... yue wanted to have chicken chop noodles, but alas, BOTH stalls closed.. so she settled for some not as nice hokkien mee, i had my nasi lemak... and not from the famous stall, i actually prefer the nasi lemak from the other stalls, the fried chicken is nicer... then she had her nata de coco desert.. and this girl, complains abt all her food, well, if the food isn't nice la, but at least she finishes it.. and doesn't just turn her nose up and waste food..
we had quite a laugh, cuz a very zhng-ed integra literally brushed past me thinking he could make me race him.. and he sped all the way from past the cargo complex, till the changi village traffic light.. i did abt 60 all the way.. relaxed, and he was right in front of me at the traffic light..
anyways, went down to buona vista, yue to her office to look at her cells that died, and me to get the car washed, then down to mako... and as the crowd filled up the dive sch, yue finished inspecting her cells so i drove down to pick her up to come to mako.. and we had the hugest crowd ever for a lo hei.. largest crowd i ever lo hei with.. had to split it to 3 rounds...
finally left and came home... mum's cooking curry.. after dinner.. shld let yue go home.. she's got to work tomorrow, so do i, but not before a gathering with the soc guys at cheechiu's office!
