rant.

the ER model is conceptually correct. it's acceptable and the design is correct. notation used was not taught in the module, so the marker says it's wrong and takes away 5 marks for it?! what the hell... now i have to go bother with 2 different notations to satisfy 2 different courses that involve ERD...

they should've stated clearly that we SHOULD use notation taught in the course, and not use any other notations if they are not prepared to accept it.

spit.

lost it. my virginity.

yeah. i did. i succumbed and went to dive here in sydney. my virgin sydney dive was at port botany.. this island where they filmed mission impossible 2 apparently.. the fortress scene..

shore dive. which most sydney dives are. and it's basically rocks, water, and you. and since it was ridiculously cold, 19 degrees in the water, we went with 5mm farmer johns, tops, and i had to pile on 24lbs of weights. that's a ridiculous amount, considering i only use 2 in the tropics.

regret not having gloves. got deep lacerations from the rocks. no more pretty hands.. :(

regret not having booties, had to trudge from the car, down over a bridge, to the island, over rocks, into the water.. sore soles..

but the dive was good. breathing compressed air is always good. dive was pretty decent. large grouper following us around like a dog. cuttlefish. sea dragon. shark eggs(empty). nudibranches. pity the site's been over dived, and most of the coral life has sufferred. vis was about 5m. bad according to the locals. excellent according to singapore standards. not dayang tho. haha.

so there is was. weekend dive. $35, including tank bc reg weights wetsuit.

i'll go again soon. with gloves this time. and i'll have to grab my open heels with booties this time round.

and here's a lil photo taken on the mobile of port botany.

music to soothe the savage bReast

but then again, listening to angry rap music, or techno, or some music that gets your adrenalin pumping, people tend to become beasts, savage ones, behind the wheel of their car. hah.

anyways, the rear left speaker of the integra was whining and cackling, so i went down to strathfield radio, and bought myself a pair of 6.5inch 4 way 270watt speakers. $65 discounted from the rrp of $149

and i decided i'll fix it up myself. and realised i didn't have insulating tape after i had "crimped" the wires and joined the speakers...

went to get dinner and tape, fixed it all up..

mmmmm... savage beast i shall be...

here's a picture of the speaker with it's cover..

Michael Damien - Was It Nothing At All

Michael Damien - Was It Nothing At All
Driving in the car
With the wind run through your hair
I reach for you now
But you're not there

It was perfect time
A perfect place for us to be
The nights were so warm
You were close to me
Was it nothing at all?

No more hope of holding your body in the moonlight
Did I fall in love for nothing?
No more hope of touching you feeling you by my side
Did I fall in love for nothing?

The music can play
As the sun started to fade
Our dream vacation
Was in my mind

Just the other day
I thought I heard you call my name
I wake up, she's gone
There's no one to blame
Was it nothing at all?

No more hope of holding your body in the moonlight
Did I fall in love for nothing?
No more hope of touching you feeling you by my side
Did I fall in love for nothing?

I tell you right away
I want you back into my life
But if you don't find the way
I would dream of you tonight

No more hope of holding your body in the moonlight
Did I fall in love for nothing?
No more hope of touching you feeling you by my side
Did I fall in love for nothing?

No more hope of holding your body in the moonlight
Did I fall in love for nothing?
No more hope of touching you feeling you by my side
Did I fall in love for nothing?

Just the other day
I thought I heard you call my name......

Was it nothing at all......

I wake up she's gone..

Lovely. One of my all time favourite songs.

Love

"You are beautiful...when you let friends have their space, when you believe, when you laugh, or are moved to tears, when you let it just roll right off your back, when you talk about your dreams, when you help a turtle across the road, when you try to do the right thing even when it comes out wrong, when you love." Anonymous

"And think not you can guide the course of love. For love, if it finds you worthy, shall guide your course." Kahlil Gibran

"Let no one who loves be called altogether unhappy; even love unreturned has its rainbow." Eaton Stannard Barret

near miss

i curse the driver to die the slowest most painful horrible death in a car accident that is caused by him.

moving off after dropping my friends, road from 3 lane narrows into 1 lane, stone kerb/refugee island on the right, drop into the harbour on the left. i turn out, and i see from behind these xenons, then i hear the bov (blow off valve)

i continue making my way, then i see the lights damn near, i jam brake just in time to narrowly avoid the idiot who squeezes past my car on that one lane, if i didn't stop, it was going to be a case of a bad smash, given his speed, or a long bad scratch. and i wasn't alone, my cousin was in the passenger seat, which meant she was first to be affected if there was an impact...

curse your evo ix and curse you.

one down.

one down.

one more group assignment.

one more individual assignment and presentation.

and i felt utterly depressed last night. it was another food craving induced depression.

portions are big. yeah. food's fresh. yeah. BUT IT'S NOT WHAT TICKLES MY TASTEBUDS.

next gripe is the lack of decent roads here. the freeways and motorways are fine in general, but i rarely travel those. the car is real fun to drive. since it's a 1.8 vtec.
