the adventures of a deliveryman
i called the paintshop 2 weeks before i got back, hoping to get my lip and bumper sprayed before i returned, so when i arrived, i could just dump my car with them and have a nice new look on my birthday, but apparently it wasn't to be, murphy had his way and the lip went missing.
so after numerous phone calls and smses, james convinced me to get the m-aero front lip with studie 3d lip. i got back to singapore, drove the new berlingo to pick it up, then drove down to yew lip with it. met uncle jo and his 4L bottle there as well. dingyue went to deliver kremes to her friends at imcb.
then we went for laksaaaaaaaaaaa.. yes. finally. some laksa that my tastebuds agree with. then it was dinner at home.. simple home cooked porridge..
wednesday lunch was spent with bmw.sg folks at jurong hilltop. great to meet the people once again, and dinner was a simple affair at mong heng at keypoint/beach road with my parents and yue.
interview on thursday with recruit-legal. the fiasco of the day was a pair of shoes that haven't been worn for a whole year who's heels gave way completely.. i was like some bum walking around shenton way with soleless shoes. managed to find a pair in my desperation, at least they looked good. did manage to meet jasmine and have a cup of decent latte. (it's quite difficult to find good coffee in singapore. i had to struggle to drink the coffee and tea that sq served on board)
friday saw me going down to wws to help out with some stuff, but i couldn't do much as most of the issues were software and licensing ones.
saturday was an adventure as i drove the van to the airport cargo complex to pick up all 14 boxes that were shipped back. a little complex, as we drove there, exchanged our ICs for airport passes, then drove to superhub 1 mistakenly, then was redirected to superhub 2 to pick up our airwaybill, then over to the singpost building to do an import declaration; and the nice dude there helped me with the whole process very quickly, even telling me where to go and what to do, then going back to superhub 2 to pick up the goods, then out of the place, customs inspection, and then deliveries, then cheng tng! wahaha.. and jiew her eng chye... and hokkien mee...
sunday was bmw-sg meetup day...
monday was install solar film day..
and tuesday, today! accompany skeeter day. haha.
